An Encounter Retreat is a weekend set aside to meet with Jesus. It is an opportunity to move from bondages to freedom by the power of the Holy Spirit.
13 believers attended the three days residential retreat at “Dhyanashram”, Carmelite Fathers’ Retreat Centre, Rajodi Village, Nallasopara.
The hearts were prepared and hunger stirred up to encounter Christ through the Pre-Encounter meet at Mira Road on 11 June.
At the retreat, they came with baggages – hurts, bondages, curses, rejection, unforgiveness, sins. All encountered Christ. They went back – bondages broken, hearts softened, hurts healed, delivered from sins. They experienced the freedom that Jesus offers.
Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, then you really are my disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32 NIV).
All committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the infilling of the Father’s love. And went back filled with love, joy and peace with a desire to grow in the intimacy of His presence and know His power and love.
The Post-Encounter meet was held at one of the participant’s beach house on the 25 June, 2016.
The commands of Jesus was shared and the importance of our daily walk with God through our quiet time of prayer, worship, Word, solitude and fellowship was emphasised that they may continue their journey with the cross.
