An Encounter Retreat is a weekend set aside to meet with Jesus. It is an opportunity to move from bondages to freedom by the power of the Holy Spirit.
18 believers attended the three days residential retreat at the comfortable settings of a retreat center in Kolkata and encountered Christ. They came with baggages – hurts, bondages, curses, rejection, unforgiveness, sins.
They went back – bondages broken, hearts softened, hurts healed, delivered from sins. They experienced the freedom that Jesus offers.
Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, then you really are my disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32 NIV).
All committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the infilling of the Father’s love. And went back filled with love, joy and peace with a desire to grow in the intimacy of His presence and know His power and love.
