The Encounter Retreat was a weekend set aside to meet with Jesus. It was a 3 days offsite retreat for new believers, twenty one of them, to help them mature and have an intimate relationship with God, to prepare them to accept the Lordship of Christ and make a public declaration of their faith through Water Baptism.
We have reached few localities in Durgapur and Asansol where the Gospel was proclaimed and peoples’ lives were touched. Many had taken the step forward by accepting Jesus as their Saviour.
The love of God compelled us to bring these new believers closer to God’s purpose for them, help them grow in the intimacy of His presence and know His power and love. We organized an encounter retreat for them from 12th to 14th December 2013 at a Retreat Center near Burdwan.
At this retreat we, in the anointing of the Holy Spirit, dealt with the individual and ancestral sins, hurts, bondages, curses, rejection, generational inequities, etc.
Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, then you really are my disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32 NIV).
At the Retreat, the new believers experienced this freedom that Jesus offers. They received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the infilling of the Father’s love. All went back free.
